For site owners

Your site passed the test. Let it show.

If I reviewed your site and it scored 6 or higher, you can put this badge on your site. Whoever clicks it lands on your full review: the good parts and what you still need to fix. That's why people believe it.

I want the badge My site has no review yet

Two versions: for dark backgrounds and for light ones.

First, what it doesn't do

On other directories, the banner is the toll you pay to get listed. Not here.

It doesn't get you a review

I review sites whether they use it or not. If you want me to test yours, send it over: it's free and I don't ask for a link in return.

It doesn't move you up the ranking

The order comes from the score alone. Badge or no badge, your site stays exactly where it is.

It can't be bought

There's no gold badge, no "premium", no "verified plus". There's just one, and you earn it with your score.

What it does

  1. It answers the doubt before signing up

Anyone landing on your site wonders whether it's legit or just another one full of fake profiles. The badge tells them an outsider checked it, against a scorecard that's public.

  2. It's always up to date

The image loads from Don Catador every time someone opens your page. If a new test drops your score below 6, it stops showing; if it goes back up, it shows up again on its own. You don't have to touch anything.

  3. Nobody can fake it

If someone copies the code without a review scoring 6 or higher, the badge doesn't show, and the link always goes to the real review. That's why, when a visitor sees it on a site, they know it's real.

How to add it

Three steps, one minute. No sign-up needed.

1 Find your site

2 Pick the one that suits your page

3 Copy the code and paste it wherever you like

This is an example. Find your site above and the code will come out with yours.

The link goes to your review. You can change the size (200 pixels wide at least); the design and the text, no.

What people usually ask me

Do I have to add the badge to be listed on Don Catador?

No. I review the sites I find and the ones people send me, whether they use the badge or not. Adding it doesn't change anything in your review.

My site scored below 6. What do I do?

Your review says what brought the score down. If you fix it, ask me for a new test through the contact page: I'll use the same scorecard as for everyone. If it reaches 6, the badge shows up on its own.

Can I change its colors or text?

The size, yes. The rest, no: if everyone drew it their own way, it would stop being recognizable and anyone could make up a lookalike.

What if my score drops later?

The badge stops showing on your page until the score is back to 6 or higher. That's what makes it worth something: there are no stale badges floating around.

Can I say "approved by Don Catador" on my social media or ads?

Yes, as long as your score is 6 or higher and you link to your review.

Haven't I reviewed your site yet?

Send it over. I'll test it with the same scorecard as everyone else. If it passes, the badge is yours; if not, the review tells you why.
